Commissions FAQ
What kinds of commissions do you offer (artwork, jewelry, both), and what’s the typical turnaround time?
I am joyfully taking artwork commissions. Once all hymns or memorabilia have been received and all artistic design conversations have been completed, a painting that is 16x20 should take about 2 weeks to complete and dry and add an additional week for shipping. Jewelry is done on only a case by case basis at this time, due to chronic pain issues. Thank you for your understanding.
What info do you need from a customer to start a commission?
I usually direct a potential buyer to go through my website to contact me. I will send a commission inquiry form for the person to fill out where I ask all pertinent questions. I usually have a phone call with each potential buyer following the receipt of the form to discuss hymns to be used in the painting and theme, colors, budget and deadline. After that I send out a quote to be approved. Once that is approved, I begin the painting process.
Do you take a deposit?
This can be discussed on a case by case basis, but I prefer 1/2 down and 1/2 upon receipt of a photo from me that the painting has been completed.
